Not investment advice
Everyday Compounded is a personal publication. Everything on this site is general information and personal commentary published for educational purposes only. Nothing here is investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or an offer or solicitation of any kind.
I am not your investment adviser, broker, or financial planner. Reading this site, subscribing to the email list, or corresponding with me does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. Nothing published here is tailored to your financial situation, goals, risk tolerance, or tax circumstances, and I have no knowledge of any of those things.
What this site actually is
I run a rules-based trend system on my own accounts and publish what I do. When I describe a position or a signal, I am reporting my own activity — not telling you to do the same. My circumstances, time horizon, tax situation, and risk tolerance are almost certainly different from yours.
Before acting on anything you read here, consult a qualified financial adviser, tax professional, or attorney who knows your situation.
Performance and hypothetical results
Any historical performance shown on this site is hypothetical and derived from backtesting unless explicitly labeled as live results. Backtested performance is not actual performance. It is calculated with the benefit of hindsight, does not reflect actual trading, and does not account for the impact of real-world execution, liquidity constraints, or emotional decision-making. Hypothetical results have inherent limitations, including the fact that they are prepared with knowledge of how markets subsequently behaved.
Backtested results do not reflect trading costs, bid-ask spreads, slippage, taxes, or fees unless specifically stated. These frictions reduce returns in practice.
Past performance — hypothetical or actual — does not indicate or guarantee future results. No representation is made that any account will or is likely to achieve results similar to those shown.
Risk
All investing involves risk, including the permanent loss of principal. Trend-following approaches carry specific risks, including underperformance during choppy or range-bound markets, whipsaw losses from repeated signal reversals, and lag during sharp reversals. There is no assurance that any strategy will be profitable or will protect against loss in declining markets.
Positions and conflicts
I hold positions in securities discussed on this site. Positions may change at any time without notice or subsequent disclosure. I do not accept compensation for coverage of any security, product, or service. If that changes, it will be disclosed clearly.
Accuracy
Information here is believed accurate at the time of publication but is not guaranteed. Content may become outdated and I have no obligation to update it. I may make mistakes in analysis, data, or execution. Verify anything you intend to rely on.
No liability
You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions. I accept no liability for any loss arising from use of this site or reliance on its contents.
